March 10-April 9, 2017.  Athena Project presented the World Premiere of THE WAVE THAT SET THE FIRE in the Byron Theatre at University of Denver.

August 2016.   Pandemic Collective‘s Evening of Grand Guignol featured a new play by Tami Canaday, the music of Teacup Gorilla, and my short play “The Centerpiece.”

 April 2-3, 2016.  My play THE WAVE THAT SET THE FIRE was part of the Plays-in-Progress Series at the Athena Project.

March 3-7, 2016.  My short piece “The Facts Are These” was included in an evening of short plays, all written around the theme of “Wedding Cake Vodka,” presented by Dirtyfish Theater, a local playwrights collective.  Tickets are available here.

December 2015.  I was thrilled to be one of five finalists (out of 191 applicants) for Clubbed Thumb’s 2015 Biennial Commission.

April 24th and 25th, 2015.  I told a story inspired by Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending” as part of a special collaboration between the The Narrators and Music Sacra Chamber Orchestra. Lots of great storytellers are on the bill, including Robert Rutherford, Laura Bond, Ron Doyle, Ru Johnson, and Timmi Lasley. .

March 2015.  Two amazing live storytelling shows–The Narrators and Stories, Stories Bring Your Stories–are celebrated their 5 year anniversaries in March, and I got to help celebrate them both.

February 2015.  Rough Draught Playwrights invited me to be part of the first-ever Local Playwrights Slam at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Colorado New Play Summit.

December 2014. My play THE FAMILIARS, commissioned by the Edge Theatre, received its world premiere production.  Here’s what the critics had to say:

    • The Denver Post:  “…The Familiars poke(s) hard at tradition, but also make(s) smart sport of that rather cynical gesture.”
    • Boulder Weekly: “… both a traditional Christmastime transformation story and a commentary on that very genre, and it’s a play well worth your time on a cold December night.”
    • 5280 Magazine: “…With The Familiars, the Edge Theater Company brings a welcome new voice into the fold, and a fresh option in Denver’s typical holiday play lineup.” 

November 1, 2014.  I was one of four finalists for the A Room of Her Own Foundation’s inaugural Shakespeare’s Sister fellowship. Congratulations to my fellow finalists–Katie Bender, E. M. Lewis,  and Stefanie Zadravec–and to the winner, Dipika Guha
